10 Things Your Martial Arts School Must Do For You And Your Child:

Not all martial arts schools are alike in Dayton, Ohio. In fact, there is a lot of fragmentation in the martial arts industry and not a lot of quality. Unfortunately, what most schools have in common is a dirty floor, dirty bathrooms, poorly trained teaching staff, and often, unqualified instructors. At the Asian Arts Center Taekwondo School, we have set the standard for the local martial arts market by following these ten rules:

  1. The martial arts school must be cleaned and sanitized daily.
  2. The bathrooms must be disinfected and mopped daily.
  3. The training floors must be cleaned and disinfected daily.
  4. All staff must have a background check and be routinely monitored and evaluated to maintain standards of appropriate behavior.
  5. All teaching staff must be certified to teach and demonstrate the ability to teach with enthusiasm and positive reinforcement techniques.
  6. All teaching staff must receive ongoing, weekly instruction in martial arts technique and teaching method theory and application.
  7. All students must be taught practical and effective physical and verbal self-defense techniques in every class.
  8. Testing and promotion of students should be performed fairly and consistently, with constructive feedback.
  9. All students must maintain acceptable performance and behavior at the Asian Arts Center Taekwondo School, at their academic school, and at home.
  10. Resources must be made available to help struggling students get extra help or coaching whenever necessary.

These 10 musts are part of our daily operational plan at the Asian Arts Center Taekwondo School, and are taken very seriously. Many martial arts schools in the Miami Valley and around the country have just a few or none of these standards.

Martial Arts Classes

Our Taekwondo martial arts classes are age specific, challenging, rewarding and fun. Small classes are the rule. The focus of all our martial arts programs is practical self-defense against all types of violence.

We use modern martial arts teaching methods in a safe and clean environment.
In addition to martial arts, children are also taught how to focus and pay better attention in school; how to get along with siblings and peers; and how to properly respect parents and other adults.

Our adult students focus on goal setting; improving overall fitness and health; general stress relief; and reversing the damaging effects of aging. Martial arts classes for all ages at the AAC are both challenging and fun.

Martial Arts Instructors

All Asian Arts Center martial arts instructors go through extensive background checks and will spend hundreds of hours learning how to teach before they ever instruct a martial arts class on their own.

The ultimate goal of our martial arts program is to strengthen and improve the connection of body and mind. Many of our students train to achieve the honor of martial arts Black Belt, and maintain a lifestyle of overall health, wellness and personal responsibility.
